Виски "Glen Scotia" Release №1 The Mermaid Palo Cortado Cask Finish 12 Years Old, gift box
New Icons of Campbeltown from Glen Scotia honors the rich history and community spirit of this historic town. The first release in this series is "Glen Scotia" Release №1 The Mermaid Palo Cortado Cask Finish 12 Years Old, which draws inspiration from the local legend of a mermaid sighting on the Kemptelton coastline. This unique whisky was aged for twelve years initially in Bourbon-first-fill barrels before being finished in rare Palo Cortado sherry casks, imparting distinctive salted notes and complexity. The bottle retains its 54.1% ABV without cold filtration. Designed by renowned artist Joel Holzmann, known for his work with Marvel, Disney, Macmillan Publishing, and LucasFilm, the packaging captures the essence of this captivating story. Although the mermaid legend is more folklore than fact, it has deeply influenced the town's history and Glen Scotia’s tribute to it. The Glen Scotia distillery, founded in 1832 by the Galbraith family, stands as one of the oldest operating whisky producers in Campbeltown, drawing water from the pristine Crosshills Loch for its production process. Today, despite numerous challenges, Glen Scotia continues to craft a superb single malt whisky, with an annual production capacity of 750,000 liters.
